Which University of California schools average your SAT scores?
I’ve heard that some schools look at your highest total score, some take the highest in each subject, and some average all SAT scores. I’m mostly concerned about the last kind of schools, which UC and/or CSU schools average all scores?
Does this mean that I should take the December SAT to improve my average? It would be my 3rd SAT reasoning test this year and 4th reasoning test ever.

a speaker from cal poly san luis obispo just recently came to my school and said that they superscore your SAT reasoning, which means they take the best from each subject from each time you took the SAT. i’ve heard that the rumor about schools averaging all your SAT scores after you 3rd take is false. could be wrong, don’t hold me on it. however, the guy above me who said that UCs only take your best score from one sitting (non superscoring) is correct.
so basically: probably CSUs superscore and UCs don’t

Colleges average your SAT Tests after the 3rd try, so yes, if you take it in December, they will average ALL of your scores.
Specific to UC’s, they take your best SAT Day/Sitting. They don’t take the best from each subject, just your highest overall total.
