What is a placement test and what kind of questions are there?
I got kicked out of a private school because we owed them money and we didnt have the money to pay them.
I am a 9th grade and I am trying to register for a public high school.
They wanted my transcripts but my private school wont give them to us cause we owe them money.
So now I have to take this some kind of 8th grade placement test and if I pass it i just continue in 9th grade where i left off.
So I was wondering what kind of questions do they have on a placement test? Is it kinda like an SAT or ACT test?
Im not rly sure and i rly want to pass because i rly dont want to repeat 2 grades.
Can someone please explain? Im kinda nervous hoping ill pass. = |

It isn’t as hard as the SATs or the ACT. They ask fairly simple questions. If you passed 8th grade, you can pass this test.

It’s basic stuff. Elementary math, english. reading. Just to see where you are at in each subject. So they know what classes to put you in: AP, Honors, On level. It’s not hard.

You shouldn’t worry because it will probably have questions that u already know.
If you don’t know the questions then it won’t matter if you repeat 8th grade because you’ll be learning something!
You’re welcome!!!!!!!!!!

A placement test is an examination to see how knowledgeable you are in a certain subject. A common placement test is the NCLEP for college students. You can take multiple subjects of the test. For example, if you took four years of Spanish in high school and are fairly knowledgeable of the language, you take a placement test to earn college credit equivalent to the level of your knowledge in that subject. This can save you a lot of money in the long run.
No, it is not like the SAT and ACT tests. Those tests are geared towards college entrance eligibility and are mainly taken on paper. Placement tests like the NCLEP are usually taken electronically.

A placement test is just a test to see were you are since the information is based on 8th grade and you are in the 9th you should already know the information especially coming from a private school. The curriculum in private school is much more advance than public school. You will be fine.

A placement test is given to see if one knows the things one should know to be in any grade. If you know eigth grade math, history, English, and science you will do fine, in some cases because schools differ in programs children do stay be hind even if the school does receive your records. Private schools set their own standards, public schools are set by state laws. Lots of luck.
As for the type of questions, they will be general knowledge type.

It will have the subject matter that is covered in a certain level (in your case, eighth grade level) that will make sure you are up to speed and won’t fall behind. It won’t be nearly as hard as the SATs or ACTs! Don’t stress.
If you want to study, just look up notes of the things you’ve studied in the past year. Hope everything works out!
