Is my SAT score good enough?

I have taken it twice. The first time i got a 1380, then next i got a 1470…but if you take the highest parts from math reading and writing and combine them its a 1500..on a scale og 1600 its a 1040.

Anyway Im going to enter my senior year of highschool and my friend (who hasnt told me her scores) is going to retake it again and is taking a class. She is pressuring me to take the class and said a 1500 isnt good enough.

I want to go to a somewhat decent school where the normal SAT score is about a 1650 to get in. But i have a 3.2 GPA so would that hel?

So basically is a 1500 good enough. If you dont mind could you tell me your SAT scores and if you got into an ok college. SHould i take the class(I never took one for the SATs just online tests) and should i retake it or am i ok?

thanks!

Does anyone attend Campbell University?

Do you think I could get into Campbell University?I want to become a pharmacist eventually.
I took the SAT for the first time in June and made a 1570 without any preparation. I plan to take it again in October. I am number 11 out of 445 at the end of my junior year. I have a 3.931 cumulative unweighted GPA and a cumulative weighted GPA of 4.639. I am a member of the National Beta Club and the National Honor Society. I do volunteer work and ran cross country in 9th grade. Also, I plan to join more clubs in senior year and do more extracurriculars. Thanks for all the help!

Cornell vs. Dartmouth Early Decision?

I’m currently and junior and I’m trying to figure out what school I should apply to Early Decision. My top 2 choices are Cornell and Dartmouth. In terms of where I stand as a college applicant. My GPA is 3.9 unweighted and I have 6 APs currently and will be taking 5 more senior year. I focus my efforts in science and math, and I am part of the science and math teams at my school and I am the president of the science team. This year for the science competition I got 1st place (of 63) in my event in regionals and 5th (of 50) at states. For math, my school selected me to participate in a county tournament where i placed 16th of 190. I took the SAT in March with little preparation (no courses or tutors) and got 2120, which I think is low for Dartmouth so I will take it again in June and October and may have a tutor for the summer. I also do a lot of research at several Universities and I have received awards. So I think my resume is alright for either school, but don’t get me wrong. I am not cocky. I know applying to schools like these is a crap shoot, but I think I have a shot. My sister is at Cornell, and if I go there I would probably apply to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. I love the outdoors and natural settings. I will probably major in Environmental Studies but at the same time take the courses required for pre-med. I want to be at a school where the students don’t feel like they are directly competing academically against the other students. I want to be in a laid back environment where I know I will have to work hard to do well, but at the same time have a great social life that doesn’t only involve talking about medical school and grades. Where do you think I should apply Early Decision?

How are my SAT practice test scores?

So i took a SAT practice test and i got like a 1650 or somewhere in the 1600′s(that is if i got at least a 7 on my essay which i think i can do), i struggled in the CR section but, i mean who doesn’t? I did decent in math and writing. I was disappointed in my score, im aiming for 1900+, i’ve been studying A LOT, because its the summer, and when i say a lot i dont mean like 7 hours, i mean 12 freaking hours at my table doing practice problems every day, yes i said every day thats how bad i want it. Any other recommendations on how to raise my score??

Currently i’ve split my 4 month time period before i take the actual SAT, the first month and a half im going to concentrate in the math section, i bought Kaplan’s SAT math workbook, i’m pleased with it, it challenged me which is good, the 2nd month and a half i’m going to concentrate in the CR and vocabulary since they pretty much go hand in hand with each other. The last month and a half im going to concentrate on the writing section of the test, im going to buy a book for that too. After all of this i plan on taking 1 last practice test, to see how much i improved from my first 1600-1650.
I hope i do good on it, i want to go to UCLA, USC, or USD for computer science. I do dragon boat(paddling sport) and im going to continue to do it through senior year to show commitment, i’ve volunteered for all of the marathons in San Francisco, i’m currently in a academy in my high school, AOIT(Academy of Information Technology) i dont know how that’s going to help but, the more the better.
I’m a 3.75 GPA student, but last semester i got a 4.0 GPA, I’m taking pre calculus next year, and i plan on AP calculus, and Physics honors(theres no AP physics, honors is highest) in my senior year.
I said practice test, i didn’t get a 1600 on the real SAT, i’m studying for it, i only have 4 months, im going to take it in october.
Well, im my workbook, i usually try all the questions first, and if i dont get it after everything ill look in the back but, after i do a couple of problems i usually catch on and i’ll be able to do some of them by myself,

Well for the physical part, i have dragon boat for that, that takes like 3 hours of my day and i’m exhausted after it so ill take a nap.

When i finish all the questions in a section, i usually jump around in the same section and redo the questions again so i get more familiar with the question format.

What kind of GPA and ACT/SAT scores do I need to get into Northwestern?

I’m a Sophomore with a 3.5 unweighted GPA. I haven’t taken the ACT or SAT in high school yet but took the ACT in 7th grade and got a 29. I also got a 5 in AP European History, and history is my weakest subject. I plan on taking 7 more AP tests in high school. If I raise my GPA and my ACT score improves (as it should based on knowledge gained) when I take it next year, what are my chances of getting in after my senior year?

Can I still get into a good college?

I am in my sophomore year in high school. Last year i didn’t do so well, this year I improved, but still could be better. I have around a 3.1 average. I go to a top private school located in New England, where the college placement is excellent. If i finish this year strong and can stay around a 3.1 or above, can I still get into a good college? (considering i do well junior and senior year)
I play many sports and do a lot of extracurriculars
I plan on doing a lot of preparation for the SAT.
I am also African American
Can I still get into the following colleges and similar colleges based on the facts about myself stated above?:
- UVA
- UNC
- Georgetown
- Villanova
- other comparable schools
