I took the test online and maybe it was luck or maybe I’ve been studying harder then usual, but I got a way higher score then I did when I took an mock sat in May.
Last year I got:
Math-530
Reading-590
Writing-470 (5 on essay)
On the practice I got:
Math: 610
Reading: 640
Writing: 690 (6 on essay)
Are the practice ones maybe easier or do they grade not as accurately? I’d like to know.

I am going into my Junior year and I just finished up a SAT practice test which ended up to be 460-560-500 which is 1520/2400 and I have a 3.5 GPA unweighted taking all honors classes right now. Idk what it is weighted. If I keep this up/ improve on these scores will I have a chance in getting into one of these colleges. Also does it help my chances if somebody from your family went through/is going to one of the colleges?
Also, say I take the SAT multiple times, am I able to take scores from each one of the tests to come up with the best possible score or is it based off the test that you scored the highest on.
I have to retake my ACT agian in a couple days because last time I got a low score. But the problem is that havent had time to study for itbucause of job and school. and I have a study guide. and it is this saturday. what can I do to study and to not have a rough time taking the test.
I have SAT’S coming up this Saturday, so I have exaclty 6 days left to study. Unfortunately, I have been planning a fundraising event for the last month and have not been able to study much. Now that that is finished, I really need to get going. I have been studying for SAT’s for quite a while now, but only about 1 practice test a month. I currently am scoring about 2040-2060 on my practice tests. I want to get a 2100-2150 on the SAT. Currently, I am hitting about 700 in both reading and writing, and 640ish in math. What can I do in the next six days to up my score just enough?? Also, I have a lot of AP classes and school so I can’t practice ten hours a day…

I’m so scared of the ACT. I’m a smart kid though, i make freaking straight A’s… but dumb people are getting higher ACT scores than me. I don’t get that. So far i’m at a 21. Please what do I do? Everyone always tells me"study for it then if your so scared of it” HOW DO YOU STUDY FOR IT? They only way to is by taking more ACT tests. Especially the science part of it. I guessed on all of it. Theres no way i can solve each science question in less then 1 min.
I want to be a pharmacist when i grow up, so if i’m going to be one i have to get it up to like 25-30.
The only thing that would keep me from getting into college and become a pharmacist is my ACT. It scares me to death.
Oh yea and only took one real ACT, and i was half awake when i took it and i guessed ALOT. I got a 21 on it. I’m going to be a Junior in highschool.. You know the PSAT/NMSQT that doesn’t really count as anything, it’s just preparation for the SAT basically… Well I just got my scores back and was wondering what’s a typical good score? I scored in the 98% in critical reading, 85% in mathematics and 93% in writing skills
I took the ACT for the first time the end of my junior year. I got an 18. I bombed the math and science part, but did great in reading, writing, and English. I’m taking it again in October, and in December. I’m aiming for a 21 the second time, and a 23 the third time. I am getting tutoring 2 times a week on top of teachers helping me everyday at school. I bought the ACT practice book and have been doing problems in the book and online on the ACT test. Is it really true that students improve their score the second time taking the test?
also, can anyone explain the difference between SAT, PSAT, and ACT in detail, please?

So, I am studying for the SAT I test for October 10, and here is the info about my status right now.
Studying 1.5 hours everyday
Currently have finished 5 practice tests, average 2250 each one.
Started off first practice test beginning of summer with 2160.
Math is usally 800
Writing is usually 770-790
CR is usually 680-710 (weakness)
I am using the Collegeboard Blue Book, and the online course
I also have Barrons 2005 edition, the first modern SAT one
Collegeboard’s online grader keeps giving me 12 on all of my essays.
I am aiming for 2300+
Could you please predict my score?
