hey everyone, I think I might have bombed my ACT test because i didnt get to finish it in the limited amount of time so when the teacher called for the remaining 5 minutes i quickly randomly bubbled in answers. For each section i had like 10-20 questions left blank so i just got really nervous and randomly bubbled in the rest. I hope a few of them are right because if not i definatley scored poorly. i have a feeling i made a 14….even lower….i dont know but if i did, that would be beyond embarrassing because i am a straight A student in high school….so how do you think my outcome score will be?
by the way the reason i take so long on tests, is because i have bad anxiety and i have to think about a question for a while before i answer.
I have taken the ACT 3 times and I am about to for the fourth. I have gotten the same score 3 times in a row and it is kind of low, especially for someone with my kind of grades and the classes that I take. I am getting really discouraged and this is almost my last time to take it before it is too late for scholarships and college admissions. I want to know about ANYTHING that can help!!!! Are there any special disks, software, books, classes, tutorials, etc that could help me? Is there anything that can help me? Is there anything that I can do on the test, other than my best, that will help me? One person told me that when the time runs out she marks all of her answers of one letter. If anyone has some tips like that, I really would like to know.
my first time taking it, i got a 14 on my act. is that an Okay score?
could i still get into some colleges?
I’m worrying about the fact that I’m a home school student and won’t be able to get a standard high school diploma. However, I’ve completed all of the required courses for admission into UCF and my SAT score was definitely above average. Any home school students have advice?
I don’t have a bad GPA. I meant average compared to the other UCF applicants, roughly 3.5.
Ok so I took the SAT twice, but didn’t do very well.. (Probably due to lack of trying in School…) Being Home schooled.. Anyhow, I need some help… I got a high enough score on the SAT to get into the college I want, but I need to bring it up for a 4000 dollar scholarship from the school… It’s just for Critical Reading and Math, but if you can help with Writing as well, I will try to study that. Basically, I only got 920 between the two, which is horrible.
My Scores:
Critical Reading: 470, 480
Math: 440, 410
Writing: 470, 440
Those are the scores by 1st test then 2nd.
Now I believe the college I am going for takes the best of the two scores in Math and Reading, but either way, I would like to improve it.. I realize it would be hard, but there is no way for getting tutoring, and I believe the test is sometime in the next 3 months.. That as well as maybe taking the ACT test because I was told sometimes it is different for certain people..
Let me know your thoughts, thanks.
Okay so i’m sixteen years old and a sophomore. I’m homeschooled and my parents are making me take the ACT this year. I’m so nervous because all my friends tell me its really hard. My friend who is a junior took it and got a 20. He’s one of the smartest people I know. Money is hard so I need to get a good score on the ACT to try to get a scholarship. Also how many times can you take the ACT a year? Are you only allowed to take it once? Or as many times as you want?
What did you do to get a 24 or 28 or 30 on the ACT Test? I GO T a19 the first time, in my senior year and that’s not good..i’m going to retake it and study in advance to get a 24 or higher because I know that I can…and plus..I’ve got good grades and a good gpa and I need a score that will show why I have such good grades, because in the end, I could have really awesome grades, straight a’s and all, but if I score a freakin 19 on the ACT test, that’s kinda lame…
intelligence is what counts not straight a’s or b’s..right?
This is the very first time i took the sat test. Is the real test the same?
the detils are-
Critical Reading 600
Writing 640
Math 790
is it a good enough score.
how can i perform on the real test?
So I got a 650 on BIology E, and a 600 on US history. I was wondering if I should retake them because I’m afraid of doing worse. I had to take it in May because I couldn’t take the June one, so it was before the AP exams and I didn’t feel well prepared. If I did want to retake it, I would have to wait until after summer in October or something.
I am going to take Biology M too. But for the US History one, I didn’t study at all, I just took what I remembered from class the whole year because I didn’t have time since I was studying for the BIology E one. So do you think I will improve if I retake it?
I don’t plan to major in history, but in Biology instead. I don’t need an Ivy League Status score, but one that will get me into a UC at least or will get colleges to think, "Hey, this girl is a good biology student."
Thanks for your input!
