Should I retake the SAT or instead take the SAT IIs?

Ok, so here’s the situation. I have taken the SAT Reasoning Test twice now, once in January and then just 3 weeks ago, on June 5. January Test: 2000 (1380) Math 710, Writing 620, Reading 670. June Test: 2000 (1380) Math 720, Writing 620, Reading 660.

Now, I am looking at the top universities including the Ivy Leagues, Stanford, Chicago etc. So I also need to take my SAT IIs soon and I know that my SAT score is a good 200 points below Ivy League material. The reason it didn’t improve much during the June one was because I had a lot of things going on and didn’t get sufficient hours of preparation in.

So my question is should I retake my SAT I in October or instead take my SAT IIs and retake my SAT I in November OR just take the SAT IIs and leave my SAT I alone.

P.S. I am planning on applying early action to UChicago in November. I have a decent GPA, extracurriculars, community service etc. so it’s only the test scores I am worried about at this point.

Do I have to send my SAT scores to colleges again?

I took the SAT Reasoning test in May and sent them to colleges I was planning to apply to. I took the test again in October and got a higher score–will colleges only see my previous scores, or will they have access to all scores if I sent the scores in May?

I’ll send the scores again, of course, if I have to… It’s just really expensive…. :(

Which UC college can i get in to?

I go to Campolindo High School (a public school that is ranked 2nd in the state of California) and I have a cumulative weighted G.P.A. around 3.75 – 3.88 (because I have taken extra college courses outside of school, my G.P.A. is in that range)

Sat Reasoning Test Score (not so good) : 1710: math 570, critical reading 490 and writing 650

Sat II (Biology) – 510 (may improve however)

SAT II (Math level 2) – 540 (may also improve)

My personal statement is very good(considering i got tutored from someone who used to read the freshmen applications for UC Berkeley)

I have really good extracurricular activities as well:
sports – Cross Country (2yrs), Wrestling (1yr). Track and Field (3yrs)
# Volunteering at the American Red Cross (24hours completed)
# My trip to India (community service/distributing medicine for the poor)
# Nano Technology Lectures at UC Berkeley
# Mock Trial
# Mr. GQ (this year)
# Captain/Founder of the Campolindo Bhangra Dance Club
# Dental Internship and Plastic Surgeon Internship
# Leadership at schools – (volunteering at football games, dances and rallies) – cultural event coordinator/organizer
# Material Science Seminar @ Haas School of Business (1 day)
# Pre-engineering program (6 weeks) – hands on experiments w/ math and science

So which UC colleges can I feel confident about getting in to (after all, there is no guarantee) – Thanks

Is my appeal letter good?

Dear Admissions Personnel,
Last week I learned that my application for UCLA was rejected. As you can imagine, I was extremely disappointed. UCLA has always been my dream university. There are so many great professors and so many opportunities. It will definitely provide an excellent education. Especially last year, when I accompanied my twin sister to her orientation program there, I learned more about this great school and liked it even more; my desire to attend it became even stronger. I’ve been working very diligently in order to get accepted by UCLA. It was heartbreaking when I discovered that, for unknown reasons, a wrong SAT score was sent to the admission office.
I have taken the SAT Reasoning Test twice, in March 2009 and October 2009. On the first test, I received a score of 1970. On the second test, my score jumped up 120 points — a total of 2090. My critical reading went from 590 to a 640, and my writing score improved from 620 to 680. I was very frustrated when I realized that my higher score never arrived at the admission office. For remedial, I have already sent another official score report. I will also attach to this letter a printout of my online score report. I know that most appeals are rejected, but I don’t want to give up until I have tried all I can do.
Although I hope this misfortune has never happened, it has taught me a valuable lesson. I have the responsibility to check my application status frequently. As a prospective UCLA student, I should learn to do things thoroughly. Had I found out about this earlier, it wouldn’t be such a big problem. I’m very disappointed in myself for being careless in things so important like this. I will never make the same mistake again, and I’d like to do anything to solve this problem. I deeply apologize for any inconvenience this caused. I hope you can review my application with the new score report that shows my true ability. I want to show my potency to succeed in college. I hope that you can give me a chance to prove myself.
Again, I totally understand and respect your decision to deny me, but I really want you to reopen my application and consider it again. UCLA is still the school that I most want to attend. I really appreciate the time and energy you put into considering my application.

please correct any grammatical error and give me some suggestions! Thank you!!!!!
I think I sent the new score before the deadline, but the problem here is that they have never received it. I’m not sure but I think something might be wrong with College Board.

Is it going to be a problem that I haven't taken my SAT yet?

I’m going to be a senior this fall and I still haven’t taken the SAT, but I’m signed up to take it October 6. Most of the schools I’m applying to also require 2-3 SAT II Subject tests, which I won’t be able to take until November 3, since I can’t take them the same day as the SAT reasoning. I’m thinking of applying early to my top school, which is Yale, but the deadline is November 1. Hopefully I should have my scores for the reasoning test by then (I believe I can get them online about 3 weeks after the testing date), but I won’t have even taken any of the subject tests, and two are required for Yale. Is this going to be a problem? I know I can somehow send them my subject test scores as soon as I receive them, but they won’t have them with my application, and I know that they decide pretty quickly on early action applicants (by December I think…?)…

Sending SAT scores.?

Im not completely 100% informed about sending SAT scores. How does it work? — Especially through collegeboard’s online system. Also, I took the SAT on June 7 and I got my scores but Im only 15 so presumably I wouldn’t send my scores to colleges yet right? Would I be able to send my scores at a later time or am I screwed for that particular test already? Also, I heard colleges take the best of all your SAT tests so if I do better on another SAT reasoning test, will they take the max scores of both of my tests? How would sending the scores for both tests work? I’m also a non-US citizen (Canadian) by the way, so is the process the same? Thanks for any info.

what is a good SAT reasoning test score??

I recently took the Sat reasoning test and just got my scores online. I took all of the scores (critical reading, math, writing, etc.) and added them together and got 1691. Is this how you get your overall score, and if it is, is this good?
