I am taking the SATs soon and should i take courses or use the books?

I’ll be taking the SAT soon in around 4 months from now. I was wondering what is better? Should i enroll in courses or just study by the book. The price for the courses or books doesnt matter. If the course is better than studying by the book, then would it be Kaplan or Princeton? The same question also goes for the books as well.

SAT practice test books?

I have the official SAT practice book (which i finished all the tests) and I bought a new one the Kaplan SAT book. Is the Kaplan book just as good as the official SAT one. Because I started taking some tests and they seem to me a lot easier than the official SAT book.

SAT prep help… Kaplan courses?

I’m taking the SATs this May and probably another time after the summer. (I’m a junior in highschool.) Overall, I’m a pretty good student; my average is in the mid-90s. I reallyyyy want to do well but I barely have time to study. I scored a 1560 on my PSATs and I want to raise my score by at least 400 points. I know that if I really work hard at it, I can do it but I’m just not exactly sure how to study for it.

My friend told me about a Kaplan online course, she said that it helped her brother improve a lot. I also heard of a Princeton Review course… If you took the course, or know somebody who did, can you let me know if it helped? The classes are expensive and I wanna know that if I do end up taking a class, my money will be well spent. Thanks for answering =)

p.s. I’m planning to spend the summer studying hardcore lol so it would help to take a course of some sort to make sure I have a guide…

How do I grade my Practice Test out of the Kaplan SAT Prep Book?

I have the Kaplan Premiere SAT book of 2010 and I have been taking practice tests out of it nonstop. I can’t seem to find out how to see what my grade would be if it were a real SAT. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Improving SAT math score? (am I taking the right approach)?

So I took the SAT on March and I made a 450 on the math, of course I was a little sick when I took the test so that had a lot to do with it. Now I take the SAT practice tests and I usually make 540s to 560s on it.

I have the official collegeboard SAT study guide, Princeton Review (cracking the SAT and 11 practice tests book), SAT math 800, and Kaplan SAT Math workbook. I usually do some problems on the SAT Math 800 book which gives the most difficult problems.

I take the SAT on October 10th, I am thinking about just reading the SAT math section on the official SAT Study guide from collegeboard and doing the quizzes in the book. Is this a wise move?

Would that be the right approach if I want to raise my math SAT score to a 600?

What do you suggest?

sat course?

College Board Bio SAT Subject Practice Test?

Is the College Board provided practice test for the Bio SAT really real tests? I found that on their practice test, I scored much higher than on the practice tests of Barron, Kaplan, Sparknotes

How should I prepare for the SAT Biology Subject Test?

I took Honors Bio in 10th grade but I didn’t learn a thing. My teacher was horrible and did not even give notes. We learned the material by doing endless amounts of worksheets.

I’m currently thinking about taking the SAT Bio Ecology Exam because I’m in AP Environmental Science. However, I know very little about Bio besides ecology, and I need a way to learn the material, review, and prepare for the exam.
I’m probably going to buy several review books (Barron’s, Kaplan, Princeton Review). I’m also thinking about buying a used textbook to review.
What review book and what textbook do you guys recommend? (Textbook needs to cover all the material and be easy to understand and get through).
Any other recommendations for SAT Bio preparation?

Thanks a lot!

What is the best way to prepare for the SAT< ie which course, Kaplan, Princeton review?

I have looked up Kaplan, Princeton Review, and SylvanPrep, and have pretty much narrowed it down to pick between those three. OF those which one would you pick to prepare for the 0ct 14 2006 test, and why? Please be detailed, provide details from your own experience, and provide pros/cons. Also, what books would be ideal to supplement the course in my free month of August? I have heard a great deal about Princeton Review books and the College board guide, but are they actually helpful? Again, please provide details from personal experience and pros/cons and perhaps suggestions I may have not heard of yet. As always, I will handpick the winner of the 10 points on the factors of quality, length, and fulfillment of the entire question. Thank you in advance for your time and thought.

What would be the absolute best ACT prep book to ensure a high score?

As of right now, I am using the Princeton Review Cracking the ACT Book, and it has been very helpful. I also have the Princeton Review 1296 ACT Questions book, and I am doing very well on the practice exams they have in there. I’m scoring anywhere from about 29-33 in all subjects of the ACT, but I’m just wondering, is there an even better book out there with better, more accurate results/questions then the Princeton Review. I konw about the Real ACT book (or red book as sometimes called) and I am definitely planning on getting it and taking the exams in it as a final test to see how my results on the actual ACT will look. I’m just curious to konw if maybe Barron’s ACT book is better, or maybe even Kaplan’s ACT book? Please help me.

Thank you in advance.
