How did I do on my ACT test (scores)?

I just got my ACT test scores back. Here they are:

Composite score: 23

English: 27
Math: 18
Reading: 26
Science: 21

I am in the 69th percentile in the U.S.

So how did I do? I know nothing about the ACT scoring system, and I cant seem to get a clear answer off google. Will I get into a university with this score?
I got an 8 on the essay portion.

Do you have specific strategies when taking timed tests such as the ACT or SAT?

I have taken the ACT only once, and even though it’s easier than the SAT (which I havent taken), the time issue brought me down…just thinking about how much time I had left made me lose my concentration and therefore, made me lose more time.

For instance, in the Reading section, do you read the whole and terribly long passage or just answer while reading??
I didnt know what to do, I was just so nervous, and plus I didnt get any practice before the test (my bad :)

I got a 19 composite score (30 is max)…and I desperately need a 26!!!!! I have a few more chances to take it now in my senior year, but if you could give me some strategies I’d really appreciate it…
I thought it was 30, thanks for correcting that….

What is the average score students receive on the ACT test?

Is 16 a below average composite score?

The ACT test. I'm so screwed!!!! :(?

I just took a timed sample test online and I only answered about 40% of the questions. I’m so slow at reading and the time of the exam is soooooooo short. Has anyone else had this same problem?
Am I hopeless or is there something I can do? (Nothing expensive please) MY exam is in about 6 weeks!

I’m so worried and stressed as I can’t retake it for some reason.
I need to get a composite score of 18. I don’t see how that is possible.
And for those who say you should have studied in high school. I wasn’t able to go to high school. But I managed to pass the GED last year at 17yrs old.
Yup, the timing really SUCKS!!

Which ACT prep books are effective in raising a student's ACT composite score?

So after receiving my ACT score, I decided that I want to raise my composite score by a couple of points. Are there any ACT prep books that are more effective than others?

February 9th 08 ACT Test?

I took the ACT today for the second time. The first time I took it, I got a 19. It was basically a practice to see what it was like..After taking it today, I feel like I did a lot better, except in the Math section..Math has never really been my strong point, mainly cause I never study it. Last time I took it I got a 17 in math, which is horrible, I know. This time I took it, I would like to think I did better than last time, but I did a lot of guessing and the last two columns I bubbled in " B " cause I ran out of time. Is "B" the right answer choice on the test?…I want to at least hope that I got a 20, that wouldn’t lower my composite score as much. What do ya’ll think?

How is my ACT test score?

I have a few questions about my ACT test score results today.
Here were my results:
Composite score: 23
English: 24
Mathematics: 21
Reading: 21
Science: 24

I didn’t take the writing portion of the test.
It says I’m in the 69 percentile in the United States, and 65 percentile in my state, but I don’t know if that’s really as good as it sounds. Would I be able to get into a school like the University of Idaho with this test score? Thanks for all of your help! :)

ACT Test…?

How hard is it to get the composite score of 30+?

Do I have a better chance at improving my SAT or ACT score?

I took the SAT reasoning test in January and got a 790 in Math, 710 in Critical Reading, and 690 in Writing (Essay: 9). Wanting to break 700 in Writing and improve my reading score, I retook it in May, after reading through a few review tip books, and I actually went down in Math and Reading and stayed exactly the same in Writing, right down to the Multiple Choice and Essay scores.

I then took the ACT in June and got a 32 composite score (34 in Math, 33 in English, 32 in Reading, and 30 in Science.

How would I go about improving my SAT scores? I want to break 2200 (my highest score at this point is 2190). Can you recommend any books? I own the big blue Collegeboard one. My parents want to enroll me in a prep class (probably Princeton Review), but I feel like it wouldn’t help much, especially since I’m crunched on time (October would be my last opportunity, since I’m taking subject tests in November). Would I have a better chance at improving my ACT scores (My goal is a 34 composite score)?
I plan on applying to a few BS/MD programs (you get accepted to both college and medical school), and those are insanely competitive. Also, I live in a town where high scores are pretty much the norm, and my parents, after hearing what some of my intellectually comparable peers got, feel that my scores aren’t competitive enough (I’m Asian, haha).
I’ve taken the Biology, Chemistry, and Math 2 SAT Subject tests. I didn’t do well on Bio or Chem (low 600s, but I plan to retake Bio in November after two months of AP Bio and some self-studying), but I got a 770 on Math 2.
