So i just took a SAT practice test out of the college board book Edition 2.

For the first 3 test, when i entered the scores online, it gave me straightforward test scores (e.g) 650 crit reading, 660 math, 670 writing.

After the first 3 tests, the scores began to vary (e.g.) crit reading 630-710, math 660-720, writing 620-750.

I’m wondering how do i calculate my actual score when the score range has bounds? Like do i take the median between the two bounds (e.g.) (630-710). My score would be 670 in that field?

Hi my name is Dean, this summer I wanted to get an early start on my SAT prep so I joined test masters. They have an online grading system that grades your test from the Official SAT study Guide thing from College Board and they also grade your essays. The very first day of test masters (at the center) I scored a horrible 1340…a 6 on the essay. When I took a practice test in the Official Guide I scored a 1760…with a 10 on my essay (this was after 1 week of Test Masters and studying on my own). Then I took another Practice test a week later and got a 1850 with a 11 on my essay. I took another pratice test a week after that and score 1890. But today when I took the SAT test at Test Masters I scored a low 1560…I was very disappointed.. I was wondering why the scores were so different from Test Masters and the official. Are Test Masters’ test harder or I am just bad on REAL test days? Which score should I trust? What is my REAL score around 1600 or around 1900?

It was the one on college board. My writing and math score were fine 600 and 590 ( i think?) and I didn’t try my ultimate best. The thing is my reading was weak only a 510. I have ALWAYS been bad at reading comprehension but I am VERY good at math and writing. IS THERE ANYWAY I can get better at reading comp. I am going into my junior year so I have time. also with princeton review classes( I am taking in january) is it true they can easily improve my score 200 points? I realllllly want to break a 2000. and also why is the SAT so difficult shouldn’t it be easy if we learned the stuff in grades 6th- 8th?

I took my second College Board Practice Test today in real test conditions and scored a 2150 (Math-760, CR-690, Writing-700). my first test i scored 2050. My ultimate goal is 2250, but i feel i might be able to get higher. Anyways do u have any advice on how to perfect math and Writing multiple choice sections. I know I cant get perfect on CR but how can i try to?

I’m either going to buy the Cracking the Sat 2011 and 11 Sat practice tests from princeton review or the official study guide from the college board. Which one is better? If you used either book, can you tell me what you got on the SAT?

So I’m in 10th grade right now and we had a essay for Ethnic Literature class and i finished mine and my friend needed help on him so i sent my him mines and i told him that he could look at it for an example. My friend went and copied and made stupid errors to make it seem like it wasn’t the same but then the teacher caught him and she gave us both referrals but, she gave him a F and didn’t do anything to my grade because he confessed on plagiarizing my essay. I know it was a stupid mistake and i will NEVER do that again. I honestly thought it wasn’t my fault(well a tiny little bit but, come on) I’m a 3.75 – 4.0 student, and i got a 4.0 semester grade. How will this mishap affect my college application??

P.S – I do Dragon Boat( a paddling sport), and i do Wing Chun( a martial arts) and I’ve volunteered for the past 5 marathons. I’m currently teaching myself C++ because I plan on majoring in Computer Science and then going on to apply for a job as game programmer.I’m also trying to reteach myself Algebra II on my off time in the summer because next year I’m taking Pre Calculus and i need a good foundation in Algebra II, and I also bought a book the College Board’s SAT prep book so i can get some preparation for the SAT’s, I’m aiming for 1900-2150.

i read on college board theyre is an online sat test for 69.95 is it the same as if i went to take the test some where? will my college accept those scores
