I am poor in reading.. I need a longer time to understand a passage.. The ACT test has a limited time. So, that would mean that with one reading or a glance I can’t understand all about the pasage and leads me to a wrong answer in each question. Sometimes It happens that I don’t know what the question is talking about because I don’t understand the passage… any help? thnx =]

I wanted to study abroad, but the school required that I take the ACT test. Since I didn’t take it and my senior year is already almost over, I was wondering if I could still take the ACT as a college student.

I’m thinking of only attending the American college for a semester and transferring to the university abroad next semester.

Is it possible for me to take the ACT test as a college student?

So in AVID(I’m not going to spend time explaining. Its like a college prep program), we have to take an aptitude test called EXPLORE. Which is supposed to prepare us for the ACT test. Or similar to the ACT test.
However, I have no idea what to study for. How can I prepare for it?

Hi guys. I’m now going to be a senior but I need some advice. I am an honors/AP/IB student, and I get decent grades. I get A’s and B’s and all of my classes are either AP or IB. However, my SAT and ACT scores are… terrible… my highest SAT score was 1860 (took it 3 times… I did not improve) and my ACT scores (took it twice) were BOTH 27. Coincidence?

Anyways, I need some advice on what to do. I’m like in a self-dilemma and I feel like a major idiot and like a failure in everything. So, I’m wondering what you guys think I should do? Should I retake the ACT test? I know i can’t take the SAT test again because I don’t have time. The next test is in October but I need to take my two SAT II tests that day.

Any advice will do great.

By the way, I want to at least get into UCLA, do you think I have any chances?
Oh one more thing, I have done lots of community service for the local hospital and city wide clean ups.

Okay I am in a dilemma..
Currently, I am a junior in highschool, who gets pretty decent grades (3.5 unweighted GPA first semester, aiming for 4.0 this semester..starting out with all As..right on track ) I am taking a couple of honors, AP, and regular classes. My question is that will only taking the ACT test decrease my chances into getting into universities here in California? with of the competition going around.. (Is it more SAT based or what?) I’m really scared of whats going to happen in the future.. I got a 1400 on my SATs (didn’t study really..) which is like below average..and on practice tests i would get around that same score range..I feel like I will never get a good score on the SATs..
I took the ACT test last week and I felt like I blew through that test. It seemed very easier than the SAT test..I feel more confident with what my ACT score will be , but I don’t wanna say anything until I see the actual score. Should I quit my SAT classes and switch over to ACT classes? Advice would be VERY much appreciated..

Hi im gonna do the ACT test and i need a little more information about it.

I just took the act test today and I’m not sure how I did. I wasn’t feeling very well today. I’m thinking about taking it again. The next date is Oct. 24 and I was thinking of taking it again then. My question is can I retake the act before I get your results back from the first test I took? Or do I have to wait awhile. I’m applying to a college in January and want to get a good score on my act before then. Thats why I’m in such a hurry! Thanks!

The ACT test is timed, and i don’t have enough time to finish all of the questions. when the time is almost out, am i supposed to fill in the questions that i didn’t get to with random answers? or am i supposed to leave them blank?

Hello! I am taking the ACT test again this year as part of a program for gifted students (roughly 30,000 participate; 300 receive honors). I took the test last year in seventh grade and received a composite score of 29.

I recently took a practice test out of The Real Act Prep book. I got a 33 in English, 31 in Math, 36 in Reading, and 25 in Science. I can squeeze a couple more points out of the first two on the real test, but I’d like to significantly improve my Science score. How can I answer the questions more efficiently?
