HOW CaN I IMPROVE MY SAT SCORES?
How can I improve my SAT SCORES?
I got a 1930 on my sats.
720-math
630- critical reading
580 in writing
I did practice tests for three weeks leading up to the test. The problem is for my psats, I studied just strategies for 1 whole week and practiced very little, only managed to get a 183. So for my Sat, I did 1 practice test, every day for 3 weeks and I studied strategies, however, I only scored a 1930. I NEED ADVICE ON HOW TO STUDY FOR THIS TEST. CAN SOMEONE WHO HAS GOTTEN A 2100 OR ABOVE PLEASE TELL ME HOW LONG THEY STUDIED AND HOW? I have taken a test prep course in the past…
I want to score around at least a 2070, or above

I got a 2250 when I took the SATs, and I didn’t study for them. Those tests are designed to be an accurate representation of how you as a student. I also took the prep course, but i found that it didn’t really help.
I took the test once before the prep course, and got the 2250, then I took the course and a month or so after, took the SATs again and did I think like 20 points better, which is negligible. I didn’t even end up claiming the second one because I did worse on some sections and not much better on others. O yea and btw…ur scores are good. You have nothing to complain or worry about, but if you’re that freaked out about it, go buy one of those prep books.

since you scored low on writing, I think it is best to look over the subjects that the writing section teaches:
subject-verb agreement
parallelism
double negatives
idiom errors
dangling or misplaced modifiers
pronoun agreement
wrong tense usage
for the critical reading section:
read challenging books and whenever you come up with a word you do not know identify it with a picture or make flashcards, you could also try learning to recognize roots
for the math section:
keep practicing with different types of problems and this seems like an easy section for you
do some sort of practice everyday, here are some websites to help you do that:
