Rice is pretty hard to get into, and my understanding (from my best friend whose daughter is there) is that you would need at least a 3.8 and a 2150 (SAT – I don’t know about the ACT) to get in.

You have a reasonable chance of admission, especially as you are applying ED, but remember that generally Rice accepts only about 20% of qualified applicants who are not legacies, etc. Good luck.

85% in top 10th of graduating class
94% in top quarter of graduating class
99% in top half of graduating class
ACT: 30 – 34
Percent applicants admitted: 23%
Your activites are pretty nice, so you might get in. Depends on your luck.
