Can you raise your SAT score by 400 points without tutors or prep courses?
I have been working on the Princeton Review book. I am trying to raise my 1470 SAT score to an 1800 but so far I keep falling in the low 1700s range and I am trying to raise my scores in that area. Now school has begun so I have to put more emphasis on weekends.
Also, can self prep really raise your SAT score by a lot of points?
Are the Princeton Review SAT prep books harder than the real SAT or something?

Personal Tutors can be a big financial obligation. Some of my friends have paid almost a thousand dollars for a tutor and they still didn’t score as well as they wanted to. I think you should practice. The first time I took it I think I got the same score you did, but I took it again months later and I got a 1700 which is what I was aiming for.
There are some students who have done extremely well the second time. However, according to collegeboard.com they said the average improvement was like 30 points on each section.
I think you can do it. The SATS are very tough. I suggest you also do some outside training. For example, watch CNN and read Time Magazine or the New York Times. Reading articles and focusing can help. As for the math, I suggest you review your school work and try to apply it to the way the SAT administration would.
You can do it!
