Can you home school or tutor other people’s kids?
I was wondering i if i could maybe just watch other people’s kids and tutor them maybe. What I’m saying is, is it against the law for me to basically babysit and tutor homeschool kids so they’re parents could have some free time or go back to work. I would basically let the students do what they can on their own and when they have trouble I help them, and i also act as a proctor for when they take test. So what do you think?

That completely depends on the laws where you live. In some states there are no requirements; in others you would have to be a high school graduate. In others you would have to be a certified tutor or teacher.

I own a legal accountability group for homeschoolers. Laws vary from state to state. Here, the parents must provide 51% of the instruction.
Look up the Department of Education for your state and find the homeschool section, there will be a copy of the laws and statutes. Read it carefully. If you need help, feel free to IM me!

Tutoring can be done, in most areas, by anyone that a parent is willing to hire to do the job. Many homeschoolers hire a tutor to actually instruct the child, but some might be willing to follow your format.
The laws about education vary from state to state. Some states laws restrict homeschooling so that only the parents can do it. Other states, such as Florida, require the parent to "direct" the homeschooling of their child, but the parents are free to hire anyone they wish to help out.
Some homeschoolers might want a proctor, if they are using a curriculum that requires a proctor for tests or if they for their annual evaluation, but the tutor would then need to meet the curriculum’s or the state’s qualifications requirements.
In Florida one option for legally teaching your children at home is to hire a qualified tutor (state certified in the field being tutored) who sends reports to the school district about the child’s progress; I think this option tends to be used more by those homeschooling while pursing a sport or acting or such at a very advanced level.
Mostly, you’ll need to look into local laws to see if it is legal in your area. If so, then try advertising your services through the local media and through local homeschool support groups. There are people out there seeking help with homeschooling instruction.
Good luck.
